The Oh So B Story

 

I decided to create Oh So B for a number of reasons. 

Firstly, because I love planners and I wanted my own, with my own layout that wasn’t too difficult to update. Over the years I have bought so many planners for different areas of my life that I wanted one to incorporate all of the essentials.
 
Secondly, I am never happy staying put, I like to be pushing and bettering myself, creating Oh So B has allowed me to do just that.

Finally, and most importantly, this quote means a lot to me,

“I’m just a girl who decided to go for it”  

From a young age I have loved planners, diaries, notebooks and any kind of stationery that I could get my hands on, it just gets me excited. Spending hours trying to choose my annual diary before Christmas, writing in birthdays and going into the New Year with a clear, structured view. Structure is a huge part of my life, I’m constantly going from one appointment to another, tying up loose ends whilst trying to ensure that I am on time. Sometimes day to day life can seem mundane, so I have added sprinkles of positivity and reminders that 'you are doing your best', I think it is so important for us all to see that in ourselves.

As clichéd as it sounds, that’s exactly what I have done. I have no experience in business, so the whole process has been a rollercoaster, particularly as I wanted to be involved in every aspect. When I started Oh So B it was just me, in my bedroom at night typing away ideas whilst catching up on Netflix. Over the following months I have acquired a mini team, called in favours and gained huge respect for anybody starting a new business. 

Eventually, after a long bumpy road, it has led to this point, creating our Oh So B Signature Collection. Proof that you can have whatever you want in life if you are prepared to work hard enough for it. This for me is the most important message, as it is a mantra I try to instil in younger members of my family, endeavour to get across on social media and speak about in interviews.

Being a girl is a superpower so we should definitely embrace it. This year has been different from others, through meeting manufacturers, accountants and suppliers I have finally made my dream a reality and laid hands on the first hard copy of my planner. I’ve been my usual fussy, hard working, meticulous self, but from that I’ve finally produced a planner I would love to share with everybody.
